Column radiators bring the classic Victorian silhouette to modern central heating: laser-welded steel tubes that heat up in minutes, weigh a fraction of cast iron and are pressure tested to 10 bar. Two, three or four columns?

The column count sets the depth and the punch. Two-column models are just 68mm deep and suit hallways, bedrooms and under windows. Three-column models step up to 100mm and add roughly 40 percent more heat from the same wall space - the pick for lounges and draughty period rooms. The four-column flagship runs 140mm deep and delivers 8,710 BTU from a single radiator.
