Overview

Just shy of six kilowatts of heat at Delta T60: with 7,592 BTU (2,225W) on tap from twenty-six sections, this 1190mm black three-column is the radiator large living rooms and open-plan extensions have been waiting for. One radiator where two would otherwise be plumbed, one set of valves, one uninterrupted period statement across the widest wall in the house.

The engineering matches the ambition - laser-welded mild steel columns 100mm deep, matt black RAL 9004 powder coat, 10 bar pressure testing and Kartell's five year guarantee. Brackets and fixings are included; budget for quality valves, because a radiator this visible deserves them.

Range photography is for illustration - the number of sections varies with the size ordered. This listing is the 600 x 1190mm 3 column model with 26 sections. Dimension drawing included in the gallery.

Sizing Guide

A radiator only looks right when it heats right, so check the numbers first.

Installation

Installation is a routine job for any plumber or competent DIYer used to hanging radiators.

  • Connects to a standard UK two-pipe central heating system.
  • Tappings sit at the bottom on opposite ends, approx. 1190mm apart; pipe up through the floor or along the wall to suit.
  • Brackets hold the columns 30-40mm off the wall - allow 130-140mm from wall to the front face.
  • Empty weight is 40.6kg: fix into masonry or studwork, not plasterboard alone. Optional Kartell floor feet carry the weight on stud walls or solid floors.
  • Flush the system and dose inhibitor after fitting, as with any new radiator.
Valves & Extras

Valves are not included. You need a pair: one wheelhead or thermostatic (TRV) valve plus one lockshield. Angled valves suit pipework rising from the floor; straight valves suit wall-fed pipe runs.

  • Traditional cross-head or antique-style valves complete the period look this radiator is designed for.
  • A TRV keeps larger rooms at a set temperature and trims running costs.
  • Optional Kartell floor feet (white or black to match) add about 120mm and take the weight on suspended floors.

See our radiator valves range - the Kartell TRV and lockshield twin packs pair perfectly.

Delivery & Returns

Orders are picked from live UK stock. Radiators are palletised or double-boxed and checked before dispatch - please inspect on arrival and note any transit damage with the driver.

  • 14 day returns on unused radiators in original packaging.
  • Questions on access or timed delivery? Call 01282 429061 before ordering.
Frequently Asked Questions
It weighs 40.6kg empty (more when full of water), so fixings must go into studs or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for the load. On stud walls we recommend the optional Kartell floor feet to take the weight while the brackets simply steady the radiator.
No - like almost all designer radiators the valves are chosen separately so the finish suits your room. You need one wheelhead or thermostatic valve and one lockshield valve. The tappings are at the bottom on opposite ends approximately 1190mm apart.
Yes on any standard indoor wet central heating system, including kitchens. For bathrooms keep it outside splash zones; the powder coated finish handles normal humidity without trouble.
Kartell guarantees the Laser Klassic for five years; every radiator is pressure tested to 10 bar before it leaves the factory. Register the product with Kartell UK after purchase to activate the cover.
