The widest of the black verticals is the one to choose when a tall radiator has to do serious heating work. Eleven sections across 515mm produce 6,105 BTU (1,789W) at Delta T60, so a single wall slot can carry an open-plan corner, a draughty stairwell or a home office with a wall of glazing. Vertical column radiators of this output are rare - most tall designs trade heat for looks; this one keeps both.
The Klassic profile is deliberately faithful to early twentieth century column radiators, but in laser-welded mild steel at a fraction of cast iron weight. Matt black RAL 9004 powder coat, 10 bar pressure testing and Kartell's five year guarantee come as standard; valves are chosen separately so the finish can match your scheme.
Range photography is for illustration - the number of sections varies with the size ordered. This listing is the 1800 x 515mm 2 column model with 11 sections. Dimension drawing included in the gallery.
Start with the room, not the radiator: output should match the space's heat loss.
| Output at Delta T60 (Kartell published) | 6,105 BTU / 1,789W |
|---|---|
| Output at Delta T50 (calculated, EN442 factor) | approx. 4,817 BTU / 1,412W |
| Typical room coverage | roughly 11-15 square metres in an average UK home |
Coverage is a guide only - insulation, glazing area and ceiling height change the sums. Use a BTU calculator with your room dimensions before ordering, and size up slightly for north-facing or draughty rooms.

Any heating engineer will treat this as a straightforward swap or first fix.
Valves are not included. You need a pair: one wheelhead or thermostatic (TRV) valve plus one lockshield. Angled valves suit pipework rising from the floor; straight valves suit wall-fed pipe runs.
See our radiator valves range - the Kartell TRV and lockshield twin packs pair perfectly.
Orders are picked from live UK stock. Radiators are palletised or double-boxed and checked before dispatch - please inspect on arrival and note any transit damage with the driver.
