Luna Ice is a cool, frosted white with delicate flecks and a soft sparkle that catches the light, in a matt finish - a white with more life in it than a plain white.
Luna Ice is a white sparkle solid surface worktop from Coreluxe: a 19mm acrylic board in frosted white with fine flecks and a subtle sparkle, matt finished, non-porous and waterproof. The 3000 x 650mm worktop and the 2000 x 920mm breakfast bar are GBP 518 each inc VAT; the matching 12mm upstand is GBP 95.
Luna Ice comes with square, unfinished edges. Its matt finish is the one recommended for high-use areas, and the edges are sanded to match it on site.
Luna Ice is white with life in it: tiny grey flecks and a light sparkle that shows as you move past it, under a matt surface rather than a gloss. It is the white to pick when a plain white feels too flat and a speckled granite look too busy. The sparkle shows most where light falls across the surface; otherwise it reads as a soft, frosted white.
Works with: black, charcoal or deep green doors to make the sparkle stand out, chrome or brushed steel taps, and grey floors. It also lifts a white handleless kitchen. The Luna Ice upstand is 12mm thick, the same frosted decor.
Worktop, breakfast bar and the 12mm upstand are all Luna Ice in the same matt finish. Prices include VAT; delivery is a flat GBP 36 per order however many boards, or collect free from Burnley.

Luna Ice is joined with the Rice solid surface adhesive. Cut with a fine-tooth blade, finish with a router, and sand the finished top evenly: on a matt decor the whole surface is taken to a consistent finish once the joints are flush, so the joint does not stand out against the rest. Keep cut-outs 75mm or more from any joint.
Matt is the finish recommended for high-use areas, and it needs less attention than satin. Wipe with a damp cloth; for a stubborn mark, a gentle circular scrub with a wet sponge and a mild abrasive cleaner is fine on this finish. Follow with a solid surface cleaner to keep the colour clear. Trivets for hot pans, a board for knives.
Is a white sparkle solid surface worktop practical? Yes - the matt finish and the fine fleck make Luna Ice one of the most forgiving whites in the range for daily marks, and the sparkle adds interest without a busy pattern. It is waterproof and joins without a seam strip. It costs a little more than the five plain and speckled satin decors, and like all solid surface it needs a trivet under hot pans.
