Arctic White is a clean, unpatterned white in a 19mm acrylic solid surface board. With nothing to line up across a joint, it is the decor in the range that gives the closest thing to one continuous white top.
The Coreluxe Arctic White is a plain white solid surface worktop: a 19mm acrylic board in bright white with a satin finish, non-porous and waterproof, joined on site with colour-matched adhesive so runs read as one surface. The 3000 x 650mm worktop and the 2000 x 920mm breakfast bar are each GBP 498 inc VAT.
Every Coreluxe board is delivered with square, unfinished edges and a protective film. Your fitter cuts it to length, sands the edges to match the top and joins lengths with white solid surface adhesive.
Arctic White is a true neutral white with no fleck, vein or speckle in it, and the satin finish gives a soft sheen rather than a gloss. That makes it the most minimal decor in the range: in a small kitchen it bounces light around, and on an island it reads as a single white block. Because it is so even, there is no pattern to line up across a joint, and a well-made joint is hard to spot.
Works with: navy, forest green or black handleless doors for a sharp contrast, warm oak for a softer Scandinavian look, or white units for an all-white room. The matching Arctic White upstand carries the same white up the wall.
The worktop, breakfast bar and upstand are all the same decor and satin finish. Delivery is GBP 36 per order by two-man service however many boards you buy, or collect free from Burnley.

Solid surface cuts with woodworking tools, but it rewards care: a plunge saw with a fine-tooth or solid surface blade, a router with tungsten carbide cutters to finish every cut, several shallow passes rather than one deep one, and M-class dust extraction. On a plain white decor the joint is made with the White adhesive and sanded flush, then the whole top is sanded to an even satin. Leave about 1mm per metre of expansion gap at the wall.
A damp microfibre cloth and a little mild detergent clear daily marks from Arctic White; dry it after to avoid water spotting in hard water areas. A non-abrasive solid surface cleaner brings back the even satin sheen. Keep acetone, oven cleaner and drain cleaner off it, and put hot pans on a trivet.
Is a plain white solid surface worktop a good choice? For anyone who wants a clean white run with joints that are hard to see, it is the obvious one: it looks like a single cast surface, has no grout or seam strip to stain, and a light scratch can be worked out of a solid surface rather than lived with. The trade-off is that bright white shows a spill until it is wiped, and the board must be cut, joined and finished properly - it is a fitter's job, not a quick DIY swap.
It is a plain bright white with no speckle or vein, in a satin finish. It is the most neutral white in the Coreluxe range; Sahara Ivory is the warmer, flecked alternative.
The 3000 x 650 x 19mm worktop is GBP 498 inc VAT, the 2000 x 920mm breakfast bar is GBP 498 and the 3000 x 100 x 10mm upstand is GBP 95. Delivery is GBP 36 per order or free collection from Burnley.
Use the White solid surface joint adhesive 50ml with the solid surface applicator gun. As a guide, one 50ml cartridge covers one or two straight worktop joints; keep a spare for a mitred corner.
On a plain decor a well-made joint is very hard to see: the two edges are machined square, glued with white adhesive and sanded flush with the rest of the top.
Yes. The cut-out is made with a router, the corners are drilled to a radius rather than cut square, and the visible edge is sanded to match the top. Keep the cut-out at least 75mm from any joint.
Not directly. Always use a trivet or hot pad - a pan straight off the hob, a grill or a deep fryer can mark any solid surface.
