Aura Marble is Formica Aria decor F9669: a soft white marble-effect compact laminate worktop with gentle grey veining and a semi gloss finish, made as one solid slab in 12mm or 20mm with a square edge. Waterproof through the core, 10-year manufacturer guarantee. The 3.6m x 650 x 12mm worktop is GBP 397 inc VAT.
One solid compact laminate slab, decorated both sides, colour and veining through the full thickness. No core to swell, no skin to lift, so the edges stay square and a sink can go underneath.
Aura Marble is the gentlest of the Aria marbles: a warm white ground with soft, diffuse grey veins that drift rather than streak. It gives a kitchen the marble feel without the high-contrast drama of a Calacatta, which makes it easy to live with and easy to pair. The semi gloss finish adds the low sheen you expect from honed stone.
Works with: sage or olive doors, light oak, or classic white shaker units for a soft traditional kitchen. Use the Aura Marble upstand and splashback so the veining continues up the wall behind the hob and sink.

Cut with a compact laminate blade and finish the square edge with a router - the veining runs through, so the edge matches the top without an edging strip. Where two lengths meet, a jointing kit and colour-matched sealant give a fine seam; a fitter will place the joint where the veins read naturally. Undermount sinks are fine because the slab is waterproof through. We can quote for cutting it to size.
Unlike real marble, Aura Marble is non-porous: lemon, wine and coffee wipe off with warm water and a soft cloth. Skip scourers, cream cleaners and standing bleach, which can dull the semi gloss. Trivet under hot pans, board under knives.
Is Aura Marble any good? If you love marble but not its upkeep, this is the honest alternative: the look, on a solid waterproof slab that shrugs off the things marble stains from, with a ten-year guarantee and a fraction of the fitted cost. It is not stone - it wants the right tooling and support, and deep damage is not repairable by polishing the way marble can be.
