Marmara Shade is a soft grey marble effect in a textured matt finish - the honed look, without the reflections, on a solid slab that never needs sealing.
Marmara Shade is Formica Aria decor F5612: a soft grey marble-effect compact laminate worktop with pale veining and a textured matt finish, pressed as a single solid slab in 12mm or 20mm with a square edge. Waterproof through the core, 10-year manufacturer guarantee. The 3.6m x 650 x 12mm worktop is GBP 397 inc VAT.
Formica press Aria as one compact laminate slab, decorated both sides, colour through the full thickness. It is why the edge can be square, the profile can be 12mm and a sink can be undermounted.
Marmara Shade is a light-to-mid grey with pale, feathered veining - marble in feel but muted, the way honed stone looks after the polish is taken off. The textured matt surface gives it a faint grain under the hand and stops it reflecting the room, so it stays calm under downlights. It is the grey to choose when you want marble character in a quiet kitchen.
Works with: matt white or pale grey doors for a soft Scandinavian scheme, dark green or navy for depth, and light oak floors. The Marmara Shade upstand and splashback keep the matt marble running up the wall.

Textured matt surfaces chip if cut carelessly, so use a compact laminate blade and router-finish the square edge. Joints use a compact laminate jointing kit and colour-matched sealant, placed where the pale veining reads well. The slab is waterproof through, so an undermount sink is fine with the cut edge finished and sealed. Ask us for a cut-to-size price.
Wipe with warm water and a soft cloth and rinse, because a textured matt finish holds dried cleaner in its grain. No scourers, no cream cleaners, no standing bleach. It is non-porous, so it never needs sealing and does not stain like real marble. Trivets and chopping boards as usual.
