The 6 column radiator is the high output end of the column range. Six rows of columns and 243mm of depth put far more steel on the wall than a standard radiator, so a low one can heat a big room: the 300 x 1190mm gives 4,992 BTU, and the 600 x 1190mm gives 9,589 BTU. It comes in white in 14 sizes, 300 to 600mm high and 605 to 1190mm wide.
Every DUSC Columns radiator is made from mild steel with a hard-wearing white powder coat and carries a 5 year guarantee. Allow for the depth - it stands 243mm off the wall - and because the pipe centres match the width, it lines up easily with existing pipework.

Fitting
Replacing an existing radiator? On this range the pipe centres are the same as the width - a 965mm wide radiator has 965mm pipe centres. Pick the width that matches your current pipework and it drops straight on, with no re-piping.
Fitting is a routine job for any plumber or a confident DIY installer.
Connects to a standard UK two-pipe central heating system.
Valves fit at the bottom, at opposite ends. Add 90mm to the pipe centre measurement when fitting with valves.
Brackets hold the radiator 243mm off the wall, with the pipes 133mm out - allow for that when planning skirting or furniture.
It is heavier full of water: fix into masonry or studwork, and use fixings rated for the filled weight on plasterboard.
Flush the system and dose inhibitor after fitting, as with any steel radiator.
Feet & Valves
Matching 6 column feet are available in white, supplied as a pair and finished to match. They stand 140mm high and give the radiator the look of a traditional floor standing cast iron column radiator. Choose them in the Matching Feet option above.
The feet are decorative and are not load bearing. The radiator must still be fixed to the wall using the brackets supplied - the wall fixings carry the full weight of the radiator when it is filled with water.
Traditional cross-head valves complete the period look.
A thermostatic valve holds a room at a set temperature.
Angled, corner and straight valves all suit this radiator - choose by where your pipes come out of the wall or floor.

For heat. Six columns give far more output than a 3 column of the same height and width - at 600 x 965mm our 6 column gives 7,928 BTU against 4,262 BTU for the 3 column. That lets a low radiator under a window heat a large room.

No. The radiator hangs on the wall brackets supplied. Matching 6 column feet are an optional extra for the floor standing look - they are decorative and do not carry any weight.
On this range the pipe centres are the same as the width: 605, 830, 965 or 1190mm. Measure centre to centre across your current pipes, and add 90mm to the pipe centre figure when fitting new valves.
Yes - and high output radiators are a good match for heat pumps, because they give more heat at the lower water temperatures a heat pump runs at. The outputs on this page are at Delta T50; at Delta T30 any radiator gives out roughly half its Delta T50 figure, so ask your installer for the heat loss of the room.
