Overview

Where wall space is tight but the ceiling is generous, this is the column radiator that earns its keep. At just 335mm wide and a full 1800mm tall it slots into the dead strip beside a doorway or between two windows, and still puts out 4,025 BTU from its 7 3 column sections.

Every DUSC Columns radiator is pressed from mild steel and finished in a hard-wearing white powder coat, then backed by a 5 year guarantee. The range runs to 94 sizes, which is the whole point of it: instead of forcing your wall to suit a radiator, you pick the one that actually fits. This one measures 1800mm high, 335mm wide and sits 118mm off the wall.

Room photography shows the range style - section count varies by size, so refer to the specification table for this exact model.

Sizing Guide

Match the radiator to the room rather than the gap in the wall. These are the published outputs for this size:

Heat output at Delta T504,025 BTU / 1,180 watts
Typical room coverageroughly 7 to 10 square metres in an average UK home
Sections7

Use the BTU calculator on this page with your room's real dimensions before ordering, and size up slightly for north facing or draughty rooms.

Coverage is a guide only - insulation, glazing area and ceiling height all change the sums.

Fitting
Replacing an existing radiator? This size has 335mm pipe centres. If your current pipework measures 335mm centre to centre, this radiator drops straight onto it - no re-piping, no floorboards up.

Fitting is a routine job for any plumber or a confident DIY installer.

  • Connects to a standard UK two-pipe central heating system.
  • Pipe centres 335mm, valves at the foot of each end column. Add 90mm to the pipe centre measurement when fitting with valves.
  • Brackets hold the radiator 118mm off the wall - allow for that when planning skirting or furniture.
  • Empty weight is 33.31kg and heavier full of water: fix into masonry or studwork, and use fixings rated for the filled weight on plasterboard.
  • Flush the system and dose inhibitor after fitting, as with any steel radiator.
Mounting & Valves

This is a wall mounted vertical radiator and does not take floor feet. It fixes on the brackets supplied.

The wall fixings carry the full filled weight. Check the empty weight of 33.31kg in the specification, allow for water on top of that, and use fixings rated accordingly - especially on plasterboard or stud walls.

Valves are not included - you need a pair: one wheelhead or thermostatic valve and one lockshield. Browse our radiator valves and accessories, including thermostatic radiator valves.

  • Traditional cross-head valves complete the period look.
  • A thermostatic valve holds bedrooms and hallways at a set temperature.
  • Angled, corner and straight valves all suit this radiator - choose by where your pipes come out of the wall or floor.

Frequently Asked Questions
This size has 335mm pipe centres. If your existing pipework measures 335mm centre to centre, it fits without re-piping. Measure centre to centre across your current valves, and add 90mm to the pipe centre figure when fitting with new valves.
4,025 BTU per hour (1,180 watts) at Delta T50, from 7 sections. That suits a room of roughly 7 to 10 square metres in an average UK home, though insulation and glazing change the sums - use the BTU calculator on this page.
On the wall brackets supplied. It weighs 33.31kg empty and more once filled with water, so fix into masonry or studwork and use fixings rated for the filled weight on plasterboard or stud walls.
