The Tumbled Travertine worktop from Formica Originals brings the soft, sandy look of natural travertine with high-pressure laminate durability. Designed for kitchens that want a light, calm stone look without the upkeep of real stone.
The Tumbled Travertine decor brings the look of natural travertine into the kitchen: light, sand-like tones with subtle grain and gentle shifts in tone, laid in soft layers. It feels authentic yet contemporary. Unlike natural stone, Formica high-pressure laminate needs no sealing and resists impact, moisture and daily wear.
Ardesia is Formica's low-gloss, soft-touch texture, made to bring out stone-look decors such as marble, granite and concrete. It works across full worktops, breakfast bars, islands, and matching upstands or splashbacks for a perfectly coordinated kitchen.
Matching upstands and splashbacks available
All Formica Originals worktop designs can be continued onto your walls with coordinated upstands and splashbacks — protecting walls while creating a refined, seamless finish.

Because Formica HPL is non-porous and water-resistant, daily cleaning is straightforward. No sealing, no special oils, no re-finishing.
Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. Dry with a clean cloth to avoid water marks.
Wipe immediately — liquids cannot penetrate the laminate surface. Coffee, wine, and oil will not leave permanent stains.
Abrasive pads, bleach, solvent-based cleaners, or undiluted bleach. These can permanently damage the laminate finish.
Always use a trivet or heat mat under hot pans. Direct sustained heat can affect the surface over time.
Always use a chopping board. Knives will scratch any worktop surface, including HPL.
Can be cut with standard woodworking tools. Finished edges are factory-sealed; field-cut edges should be sealed with matching edge sealant.
Postformed worktops (like Axis) have a continuous laminate wrap over the front edge — no visible joint, no separate edge strip. Straight-edged worktops require a separate edging strip. Postformed is more durable, seamless, and easier to keep clean.
Yes. The 38mm thick HPL construction provides good support for undermount sink installations. We recommend professional installation for any sink or hob cutout.
No. Formica HPL is non-porous and factory-sealed. Unlike timber or composite stone, it never requires sealing, oiling, or re-finishing.
Yes. Sizes up to 4100 × 900 × 38mm are available with two finished long edges — ideal for peninsulas, breakfast bars, and kitchen islands.
Yes — all worktop designs in the Formica Originals Worktop Collection are also available as matching upstands and splashbacks. This creates a perfectly coordinated, joint-free look from worktop to wall.
Ardesia is a low-gloss Formica texture with a soft, warm touch. Formica uses it on stone-look decors because it gives a natural, tactile surface rather than a shiny one.
Yes. Tumbled Travertine uses Formica's high-definition print with the low-gloss Ardesia texture, giving the sandy tones and soft layered grain of travertine in a surface that never needs sealing.
Formica Originals worktops come with a 10‑year quality guarantee covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty ensures that the high‑pressure laminate surface — durable, hygienic, and resistant to stains and scratches — is protected after installation.
