Unlike standard laminates, Formica high-pressure laminate is engineered to resist impact, moisture, and daily wear while maintaining its beautiful woodgrain finish.
Lumber is Formica's deeply textured, linear finish: a sandblasted wood effect you can feel as well as see. It works across full worktops, breakfast bars, islands, and matching upstands or splashbacks for a perfectly coordinated kitchen.

Because Formica HPL is non-porous and water-resistant, daily cleaning is straightforward. No sealing, no special oils, no re-finishing.
Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. Dry with a clean cloth to avoid water marks.
Wipe immediately — liquids cannot penetrate the laminate surface. Coffee, wine, and oil will not leave permanent stains.
Abrasive pads, bleach, solvent-based cleaners, or undiluted bleach. These can permanently damage the laminate finish.
Always use a trivet or heat mat under hot pans. Direct sustained heat can affect the surface over time.
Always use a chopping board. Knives will scratch any worktop surface, including HPL.
Can be cut with standard woodworking tools. Finished edges are factory-sealed; field-cut edges should be sealed with matching edge sealant.
Postformed worktops have the laminate wrapped over a curved front edge. Square-edge worktops, like this one, have a crisp, square front edge that arrives factory-finished, and cut ends are finished with a matching edging strip.
Yes. The 38mm thick HPL construction provides good support for undermount sink installations. We recommend professional installation for any sink or hob cutout.
