Colour that goes all the way through. Blue Fes is solid FENIX, not a blue skin on chipboard, so cut edges and sink cut-outs are the same deep blue. Superficial micro-scratches heal under damp paper and a 120 C iron held for up to 30 seconds.
Blue Fes is FENIX NTM decor 0754: a deep, matt blue solid 12mm compact laminate worktop made by Arpa Industriale. Blue Fes is a deep, slightly inky blue with the light-swallowing matt that stops it reading as plastic - closer to a navy linen than a painted panel. It is a confident choice that rewards restraint elsewhere: white or pale oak cabinets, a white splashback, brass or aged bronze fittings. On an island it becomes the single object the kitchen is arranged around.

Blue Fes cleans like every FENIX decor: warm water, a soft cloth, a little washing-up liquid for grease. Because it is a strong colour, resist the urge to scrub - abrasive creams, scouring pads and steel wool are ruled out by the manufacturer, as are strong acids, strong alkalis and wax-based sprays. The surface is highly resistant to household chemicals, so a spill simply wipes; a micro-scratch irons out with damp paper at 120 C.
Is it any good? For anyone who wants a coloured kitchen surface without laminate's weaknesses, Blue Fes is the answer: solid colour throughout, so no exposed core at a cut edge, plus the anti-fingerprint, self-healing surface every FENIX shares. The limits are honest ones - a 12mm board needs a supporting frame, and while surface marks repair, a chip does not.
Yes. This is solid FENIX NTM - 12mm of the same material - so a cut edge, a sink cut-out or a chamfer shows the same Blue Fes colour. That is the practical difference from bonded FENIX or coloured laminate, where a cut reveals the core.
Arpa Industriale list lightfastness among FENIX NTM's properties, so the colour is stable under normal kitchen daylight. It is not a painted finish that wears through.
For a superficial micro-scratch: damp kitchen paper on the mark, an iron at 120 C for up to 30 seconds, then wipe dry with microfibre. FENIX report this still works after 100 repairs. Deep gouges and chips cannot be repaired this way.
No - anti-fingerprint is a defining property of the surface, and a strong colour like Blue Fes benefits most, since fingerprints on a dark coloured surface are otherwise very visible.
