Matt white is the finish every kitchen wants and the one most surfaces cannot keep: tea rings, turmeric, red wine. Bianco Kos is non-porous and stain resistant by design, so white stays white.
Stains wipe off, marks iron out. Bianco Kos is a sealed, non-porous surface - coffee, wine and turmeric clean off with a damp cloth - and any superficial micro-scratch heals under damp paper and an iron at 120 C for up to 30 seconds.
Bianco Kos is FENIX NTM decor 0032, a solid 12mm ultra-matt white worktop made by Arpa Industriale. It is non-porous and highly resistant to household stains and cleaning chemicals, anti-fingerprint and soft-touch, heals superficial micro-scratches under a 120 C iron and is rated to 160 C dry heat. Bianco Kos is a clean, neutral white: not the blue-white of gloss acrylic, not the cream of old laminate. Because the surface is extremely matt it does not glare under downlights or reflect the room, which is what makes an all-white kitchen feel calm rather than clinical. It is the natural choice for a Scandinavian scheme with pale oak, and the sharpest contrast you can put against navy or forest-green doors.
Works with: pale oak and ash cabinets, navy, sage or black doors for contrast, and white handleless runs where a continuous surface is the goal. The 900mm breakfast bar gives a generous white island; the matching upstand keeps the wall line unbroken.

White shows dirt, which on Bianco Kos is a virtue - you see it, you wipe it, it is gone. Warm water and a soft cloth handle daily use; a little washing-up liquid lifts grease. What not to reach for: cream cleaners, scouring pads, steel wool or anything abrasive, bleach-strength acids or strong alkalis, and wax-based sprays, all of which the manufacturer's manual rules out. A stubborn mark comes off with a melamine foam sponge used gently, and a micro-scratch with the damp-paper-and-iron method.
Is a white FENIX worktop any good? White is where cheap laminate fails first - stains at the seams, yellowing at the hob, scratches that fill with dirt. Bianco Kos solves each of those: a non-porous nano surface, dry-heat resistance to 160 C, and thermal healing of surface scratches. Its limits are the same as any 12mm solid board: it wants a supporting frame, and a genuine chip or gouge does not repair.
Not in normal kitchen use. The surface is non-porous and Arpa Industriale rate it highly resistant to acid solvents and household reagents, so coffee, wine, beetroot and turmeric wipe off. Leaving a strongly acidic or alkaline product sitting on it is the one thing the manual warns against.
Warm water and a soft cloth, with washing-up liquid for grease. No abrasive creams or pads, no steel wool, and avoid wax-based sprays - they leave a film that attracts dirt on such a dense surface.
Superficial micro-scratches can: damp kitchen paper over the mark, an iron at 120 C for up to 30 seconds, then a dry microfibre wipe. Deeper scratches and chips cannot be ironed out.
Yes - 12mm of FENIX NTM with no chipboard core, so the chamfered edge is the same white as the top. Bonded FENIX, which we do not stock, is a thin skin on a substrate.
