Kane 458 Infrared Flue Gas Analyser KANE458 The Kane 458 Flue Gas Analyser is a sophisticated instrument that is capable of measuring a wide range of variables used for commissioning and performing maintenance on boilers and gas systems. It measures carbon dioxide directly (0-20%), carbon monoxide (0 to 2000ppm), differential temperature and differential pressure. These measurement allow the analyser to calculate various aspects of combustion including oxygen content, excess air, CO/CO2 ratio and combustion efficiency in addition to let by/tightness testing. The CO measurement capabilities of the Kane 458 are particularly impressive. It can measure ambient CO in addition to CO in the flue and an innovative dual pump system provides over range protection for the CO sensor, an improvement on the Kane 456. An automatic commissioning test means that the user can perform a test conforming to Technical Bulletin 143 without having to manually pick the test sequence. Results are displayed on the Kane 458’s large display which is capable of showing six readings simultaneously. Wireless communication with an optional infrared printer is also possible. A six-year warranty is provided as long as the analyser is serviced annually by Kane. Options include a Bluetooth module for Android or iOS which enables wireless data transfer to using Kane LIVE software or the Kane printer app. The Kane 458 can be used for a range of applications including testing combustion efficiency, combustion performance, CO build-up, tightness and let by and flue draught. The analyser can be used on various fuel types including natural gas, butane, propane, LPG, 28 sec oil, 35 sec oil and wood pellets. The analyser is available in a range of kits with various accessories as detailed below.
